Generic "NYE party" searches mostly surface overpriced venue events with open bars of mediocre well liquor. Here's how to find the good stuff:

• Music venues you already like. If you love a venue's regular programming, their NYE show will be the best version of that energy. Check their event calendar directly — these sell out earlier than generic party events.
